Sibling Treasure Chest Program:
Olivia's Heart Fund is proud to announce the establishment of a sibling "Treasure Chest" program at Children's
Hospital Boston. The goal of this program is to continually supply toys for siblings of children who are in the CICU.
Children's Hospital not only cared for Olivia, but they also cared for our family. They helped to create special
memories with Olivia for her brother Cameron and us by always making sure Cameron felt welcomed, was
entertained, and felt included in Olivia's life. Children's Hospital believes in family centered care and we want to help
them with that mission. This type of care is important for the children who are in the CICU, as it allows for the entire
family to be there for them. It also helps the parents, who are often feeling torn between their children.
If you would like to contribute some special treasures for our chest, here are some items that are needed (ages 6
mos - 12 yrs):
- crayons and coloring books
- Sticker / craft books
- Arts and craft items
- Crayola Wonder packages
- Puzzles (for toddlers and older kids)
- Magna Doodles
- Aqua Doodles
- rattles, blocks, dolls / stuffed animals, etc (for children under 1)
- Small Lego sets
- dolls
- Books for all ages
- Toys / activities that can be open and used immediately
The items need to be new due to sanitary issues.
